The Studio: Materials

A rainbow of color awaits you. The central paint table holds 32 pre-mixed colors of low-viscosity, non-toxic paint that will glide right off your brush.

We use tempera paints, student brushes, and white roll paper. The impermanence of the materials helps us let go of attachments, as they are not made for archival purposes. The intention is to paint freely, without mental blocks about the materials being too "precious" or expensive.

While the paint washes out of most clothing, you are encouraged to wear or bring clothes that you will not be concerned about while painting (so that you can get messy if you feel so moved!) We do have a few paint shirts that can be used if needed.
